Migrant Turtle Films is a full service film and video production company founded by Brooklyn based filmmakers, Christina A. Voros and Sergei Krasikau.

CHRISTINA ALEXANDRA VOROS  - Director/DPr/DP

Currently a Dean’s Fellow in cinematography at NYU’s Tisch School of the Art’s Graduate Department of Film and Television, Ms. Voros’ careers prior to filmmaking have included that of a stage actor, restaurateur and nationally-ranked saber fencer. The only member of her family not to be born in Hungary, Christina was raised in Cambridge, MA, where she later attended Harvard University.

In 2006 she was awarded a Graduate Assistantship in cinematography, teaching under Tony Jannelli- whom she has continued to assist on projects with Jonathan Demme and Martin Scorsese. Her first documentary short, “The Ladies”, received a Gold Hugo at the 2007 Chicago International Film Festival and Grand Jury Prizes at Slamdance, GenArt, SanFrancisco and Edmonton International Film Festivals.

Selected by Filmmaker Magazine as one of the “25 New Faces in Independent Film” Ms. Voros’ recent projects include campaign videography for Sen. John Edwards and 2 feature length documentaries shooting India – “Children of Ambedkar”, a film about the Dalit community in Mumbai and “Jogni – Sex or Culture“, a meditation on ritualized prostitution in rural Andhra Pradesh. Ms Voros is currently directing a “Bloom City”, a documentary feature on the largest collaborative public arts project in NYC history.

SERGEI KRASIKOV: - Producer/Director/DP -

Born in Belarus, Sergei Krasikov began his career in storytelling as a journalist for his nation's biggest independent newspaper.

Upon arriving in the US in 2000, Mr. Krasikov apprenticed to German filmmaker Karola Ritter, regular contributor to Maysles, Pennebaker and Barbara Kopple documentaries, on The Last Piece, a documentary feature on the Shinnecock Indian Nation in Southampton. Covering the anti-war movement on Long Island, Sergei worked extensively with civil rights legend Bob Zellner.

Later credits include several feature doc and narrative films, many highly succesfull shorts, PSAs, theater/dance performances, corporate/music videos. Strong international experience collaborating with filmakers and producers from dozens of countries, including major production companies in Russia and India.

Currently Sergei is producing several feature length documentaries. Among them - Bloom City, a documentary about the ambitious public art project in NYC.
